Named for Ohio’s contributions to the union in the civil war, the Columbus Blue Jackets have been playing at Nationwide arena since they came into the league in 2000. The Blue Jackets started their history very rough. They failed to make the playoffs and received some very high draft picks instead. 2014 saw the Jackets make their first ever playoff appearance, but also lose to the penguins in the first round.
